In the heart of the Florence of the Florentines, we can find one thousand square metres dedicated to quality cooking near Santa Croce, the square where many tourist groups meet up at lunchtime. The atmosphere at the Torcicoda is a perfect blend between Florentine and Medici traditions. A restaurant, a hostelry specialised in Tuscan, Italian and seafood platters, but also an excellent pizzeria, ice cream parlour, shop and event space that can satisfy all the demands of the most discerning tourist. It is divided up as follows, with the pizzeria occupying one dining room that can seat 40; the restaurant in 3 dining rooms that can seat 12 in the first, 18 in the second, 32 in the third; the hostelry, with 2 rooms on the ground floor, which can seat 35 in the fireplace room and 35 in the skylight room; the hostelry cellars take up one large room that can seat 60 for private events. In spite of the restaurant’s size, the intimate and welcoming dining rooms are all tastefully furnished with care for the materials, so that dining here is an unforgettable experience for the client. Torcicoda offers 3 different catering proposals: the gourmet restaurant with Mediterranean cooking (70 pax); the hostelry with traditional Italian dishes (130 pax in two distinct dining rooms); the pizzeria with its wood oven (40 pax). The kitchen also has a wood-fired grill that is ideal for the 4 different types of meat that we propose for our "Florentine" steaks: Italian, Irish, Angus or Chianina steaks. Torcicoda also contains an ice cream parlour with home made ice cream and a sales/tasting corner selling wines and gourmet products that range from olive oil and balsamic vinegar to the typical sweets and cakes from this area.
